M.2 NVMe SSD 2280 doesn't show up in BIOS on ASUS ROG STRIX B360-I, eventhough MoBo clearly supports it.

Why doesn't my M.2 NVMe SSD show up in BIOS on ASUS ROG STRIX B360-I?

My mobo:https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-B360-I-GAMING/

NVMe SSD: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07J2WBKXF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07__o00_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is BRAND new MoBo and Nvme , I have not even installed an OS yet (it's stil bare metal).....I'm still stuck on BIOS.

My mobo clearly supports PCIE 3.0 x 4 mode and 2280 form factor. I bought PCIE NVMe with 2280 form factor. BIOS is set to autodetect the mode (SATA vs PCIE). BIOS displays 2 USBs attached just fine.

BIOS States verbatim:
"M.2_1 . Empty
M.2_1 . Enabled

I don't understand where the problem is......

Solution
There is no M.2 switch in EUFI. The closest boards come to that is to recognize the M.2 drive after a bios update.Try that using Easy Flash. Otherwise, you are going to have to try the other M.2 port, only way to know if its the M.2_1 slot or the drive. If its the drive, do not hesitate to return it for a replacement . This drive failure does happen more often than you might expect.
No, I put the SSD into M.2 slot on the front of motherboard. There is another M.2 slot on the back, and I haven't tried that.

I'd like to know whether there is "obvious" solution, before I start dissasembling entire Pc again.

As said above, it's just a test to rule out a slot related issue. If not detected in the second slot, then I would return the drive, to be replaced.

I updated BIOS. The SSD does not show in BIOS. However, I was able to install OS on SSD and select it for boot.
