I watched the video but I could not find the onboard devices configuration in my bios. I still tried to find somewhere where I could change it but I was unable to. The Bios he is running on the video is different than mine. All that I found that was to do with m.2 in my bios was the SATA configuration and it lets me change the SATA mode from AHCI to Optane and says "select to enable Intel optane memory technology with specific M.2 memory module to improve the performance of tradition spindle hard-drive."
But I am not sure if I should enable that or not.
What is the motherboard?
The BIOS UEFI menus are different for each motherboard manufacturer. And they can even vary a bit for the same manufacturer, but the settings themselves are fairly consistent. But there should be a setting to configure the PCI Express slots in your BIOS. If you found the setting for SATA configuration (IDE or ACHI), then it should be in that menu page. I wouldn't complicate things right now with Optane. You can try that later.
This is the photo of the advanced tab in my bios.

This is a photo of the SATA configuration page you mentioned.

Your photo didn't load onto the forum.
I did find some further information on the setting in the BIOS.
But first update the BIOS to the latest version,
Here is a discussion of the problem. With the updated BIOS.
Under Advanced > PCI Subsystem Settings there are two options at the bottom:
M.2 Source Link
M.2 PCH Strap.
After updating the BIOS, set the M.2 Source to Auto and the M.2 PCH Strap to M.2 PCIE .
