Question M.2 NVMe SSD not showing up ?

i’m installed the crucial 3.0 nvme m.2 ssd and it doesn’t show up on my file explorer. i turned on the raid settings and m.2 octane genie and it doesn’t let me boot windows. it only lets me boot windows when i turn it off, back to ahci. pls help!!

So you do NOT have an Optane drive?

Then why the turning that on and the RAID.
Leave all that OFF.

What specific Crucial drive?

it doesn’t show it disk management (the ssd i’m installing is 1tb btw)

Disk 2, Unallocated. That is your new P3.

"New Simple Volume" is what you want.

Then, Format, and give it a drive letter.

okay thank you very much. also i have another question. im going to give my sata ssd and hdd to my sister, so will my pc still boot windows without the sata ssd? or will i need to transfer it somehow

Seeing as Windows currently exists on the SATA SSD, if you remove that drive w=you will have nothing to boot from.
It will simply go to the BIOS. Not Windows.

2 options:
1. A new fresh Windows install on the new Crucial P3
or
2. Clone from the current SATA SSD to the new P3.
