Hello guys,

I've been planning on upgrading my laptop recently due it's extremely slow performance.
I have an HP 14q-cs0014TU laptop with Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-7020U CPU @ 2.30GHz .
I wanted to purchase a PCIe NVME ssd 250 GB.
On the motherboard there is an M.2 slot( can fit nvme) with SSD written on it. Upon reading through various websites I came to know that despite having an M.2 slot the Nvme ssd might not be supported by the bios or might not show up while trying to install windows. Can someone please tell me if an M.2 NVME ssd will work with my motherboard.
Thank you.

An option.
Get a 2.5 sata ssd and then you won't have to fuss with the m.2 stuff.

I'm planning to use the Hard disk inside for storage and the M.2 Nvme to run the OS and basic work.
I really don't want to swap the harddisk out since it's a 1TB disk.
