"M.2" can be either SATAIII or NVMe.

The 'M.2' is simply how it plugs in.

"1 x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 SATA and PCIe 3.0 x4/x2 SSD support) "

Your board can take EITHER a SATA III M.2 drive (Samsung 860 EVO), OR an NVMe M.2 drive (Samsung 970 EVO or Intel 660p)
