[SOLVED] m.2 pcie lanes for nvme drives

i have an asrock z370 extreme4 and i wanna know if i connect nvme drives to the m.2 slots provided on the MB if the pcie lanes will be coming from the chipset or the cpu?

These come from the Chipset since the CPU only has 16 which they use for the GPU.
