m.2 pcie ssd?

Alright, so I can buy a Samsung 265GB m.2 SSD for €100 from a friend. Hardly used. Would it be logical to buy it and buy a €20 m.2 to pcie adapter with it so i can put it in my system? Or do you think it would be better to just buy a €120 ssd?

I would buy a ssd. Simpler all around.

Ssd would be simpler to avoid any issues. The adapter should work since m.2 is really the use of pci lanes for more bandwidth.

I get that it is simpler, but woulnd there be a speed difference between a normal ssd and a pcie? Or am i wrong?

M.2 cam be faster, but only if ssd exceeds speeds past about 700 mbs read/write. Otherwise, the will perform the same
