Hey Guys, i did build a new computer the configuration is :
CPU : I7 7700k
MB: gigabyte z270n wifi
RAM: 1X16 at 3000 but xmp is not enable and is working at 2133
M.2: Samsung 960 evo 256g
VIDEO: 1060

Everything is working perfect but the only problem is that when i run any SSD test the results for seq are good ex. " SEQ 32T1 R: 3203.516, W: 1382.817 " but the random iops are very slow ex. " 4K Q32T4 R: 125.413, W: 124.929 "

OS : Windows 10 Professional [10.0 Build 15063] (x64)

I did install Intel driver - " sata + rapid storage " , Samsung driver , i did try everything and i not know where is the problem , M.2 card or the MB , i did update bios of motherboard as well. another thing that i notice is that i test with a normal SSD wdBlue 500 and the random iops was the same around 90 - 100 MB/s . The Spec for this Samsung SSD are 400 MB/s

What do you think guys ? what can be ?

Thank you

You can try removing the Samsung driver & let Windows drive it with its native NVMe driver. There's often a difference in performance between the two.

That said, that's REAL low for that drive. Doesn't make sense really. I've seen a lot of posts lately about 960 EVO compatibility issues, and switching to a different NVMe SSD made everything better. However, theirs weren't even working.

I would try one thing: In crystal diskmark, for random, change the threads to 10. That typically yields the full spec of the drives.
