[SOLVED] M.2 Sata SSD in Asus ROG STRIX B450 Gaming

Hello,
I’ve seen very similar threads, but none relating exactly to mine. If I’m wrong, I apologize.
I’m trying to install a Crucial MX500 SSD M.2 on my motherboard, but cannot get it to recognize the drive.
I’ve got it in the M.2-1 slot. There’s also a red LED lit on the SSD.
All help is appreciated

  • Open Start.
  • Search for Disk Management and click the top result to open the experience.
  • Right-click the hard drive marked as "Unknown" and "Not Initialized," and select Initialize Disk.
  • Check the disk to initialize.
  • Select the partition style: ...
  • Click the OK button
