M.2 screw broke in Alienware 15

In my alienware 15 r3 laptop I tried installing an m.2 sad but the screw that was in there already the corners of the plus inside have smoothed out on both the full sized ssd slots I can now not get the screw off. I can put it in and it's relatively secure, I just want to know is it safe and is there a way to get the screw off.

If it's secure, I don't see any reason why it's not safe.

as far as removing it...I have used a small file to cut a slot in the head of the screw and used a slot screwdriver to get it out.

I have also used a Dremel cutoff wheel to cut the slot.

Thanks. I have found that I will need to get the screw out as currently it's not being picked up by the system
