Question m.2 screw replacement?

was trying to install ssd for hours only to find out i rounded out the screw hole on the motherboard the little screw will no longer screw into the big screw any suggestions on a fix to this situation

Can you just install the m.2 ssd in a different slot?
When you do, first turn the screw counter clockwise until you feel a click.
That lets you know that the screw is properly engaged.
Then turn clockwise. If you need force, you have it wrong.

To recover the damaged hole, drill out the remaining screw and use a flat head wood screw of appropriate size.
 
the top one was the one in the motherboard and also the one that is rounded out i think. the bottom one is the small screw that no longer screws into the top one
