Hi. I recently bought a pre-built PC which has an ASRock B660M-C motherboard. I'm looking to install a new M.2 SSD but of course the pre-built didn't bother to include any of the mounting screws that are supposed to come with this -_- (nor instructions - I only know what motherboard it even is thanks to BIOS info)

Does anyone know what size these need to be? I've been looking all over and can't seem to find any information.

You'll find mixed info at best.

You have a slight chance of finding something that will fit at somewhere like Ace Hardware in the "real tiny screw" section.

Better chance is to go on Amazon and buy a pack of M.2 screws of varying types.

Problem is, the screws are not standardized. Screws that work in an Asrock board may not work in a Gigabyte board.

Worse yet, any reviews you read at Amazon will show confusion as to what boards a given screw will actually work with.

I bought these about 6 months ago. It contains 3 different types of M.2 screws. One of them worked in my Asrock motherboard. It may or may not work in yours.

Ahh that might explain the trouble I was having. I bought a set of screws thinking surely one of them would fit (everyone was saying most are M2x3 screws) but they were all a bit too big 🙁 (still worth keeping around for the future though, I'm sure they'll come in handy)

Thanks for the info - I might just have to cross my fingers and try again :)
