M.2 Slot is not working

Greetings, hope you're all having a great day.

A couple days ago i bought an SSD NVMe from Samsung and i installed it.
Neither BIOS nor Windows detects the drive.
Updated my BIOS and my Chipset's driver and still nothing.

When i scanned using Crucial it doesn't even show me the possibility of an M.2 SSD even though i have the slot with an M Key.

Is it at all possible that it's somehow disabled or locked on the mobo? I tried to check a couple settings on BIOS but there isn't one to control the port.

One more thing i can't find the spec sheet for my mobo anywhere.

so your adding an M.2 SSD to a system that had a HDD right ?
move your HDD to another SATA connector on the motherboard, boot to bios does it see it now ?

M.2 and slot0/1 of SATA are usually shared.

Did you make sure your motherboard can handle a PCIe drive. All i could see is it support Sata. It might not work in your case

I could not find my motherboard's spec sheet, googled a bit and i assumed an M key should be connected to a PCIe lane

m.2 ports can be used for many things.
SATA, PCIe, WiFi....
Not all m.2 ports can be used for each of those.

I don't seem to find a second SATA slot but i did try unplugging the HDD and leave the SSD and still nothing.

It is written SSD on it, as for it being PCIE or SATA i thought having the M.2 defines that it's PCIE.

"m.2" is simply the form factor.
An m.2 port can accept either a SATA based drive or a PCIe based drive.
Some, but not all, m.2 ports can use either.

Unknown as to why the Crucial tool does not detect it.

Can you post a picture of the drive and the M2 slot ? The references I found for that machine show storage is AHCI/SATA drive only.

The Drive is Samsung MZ-V7E250BW 970 EVO 2280 (M.2 NVMe)

I used crucial to check for available upgrades for my motherboard, it has nothing to do with the drive itself because i have no spec sheet :/

Btw it was a typo, i though having the M key means it's PCIe and B key means it's SATA, please let me know if there is a way to check other than the sheet. Thank you

I've tried everything so that must be it.
Having seen SSD written on it i was convinced it was correct.
