So I am currently building my first build and I pretty much have everything completed with the exception of the SSD drive and or Harddrive. My MB is EVGA's Classified K Z170. My graphics card is already installed which is covering the first m.2 slot which is a 110mm m.2 slot. I didn't know if it was best to use this slot first but had a later thought that it would be better to use the 2nd M.2 slot which is the 80mm m.2 slot sitting just below the graphics card to have better airflow. But I didn't know if the slot made a difference on speeds. There is no indication on manuals or searching on Google about it so I assume not but I'm no pro at this so I would figure I would ask first. I do plan on using Sata also at some point and maybe even a hard drive. I know that depending on which m.2 drive I use I cannot use certain sata ports. My second question is if I do end up using the 80mm m.2 slot and also any available sata ports for extra ssd is it possible to also run a hard drive? I will thank anyone up front for reading though my ignorance and taking the time answering my silly questions.

Solution
No speed difference between those M.2 slots, both support up to 32 Gbps.
However 80mm slot will not accept SATA SSD, only PCIe SSD. So it does not disable any SATA ports, and you can use as many hard disks as you have SATA ports.
110mm slot on the other hand will disable SATA 4 and SATA 5 slots if you install SSD there.
