Hi peeps I know very little about M.2 ssd I've been looking to upgrade to a larger ssd and would like to know the benefits of a M.2 over a standard sata ssd.? I have a msi gaming 3 motherboard and a i5 cpu. This is the M.2 ive been looking at. http://www.ebuyer.com/698048-crucial-mx200-250gb-m-2-type-2260ds-ssd-ct250mx200ssd6?gclid=CjwKEAiA2ve0BRDCgqDtmYXlyjkSJACEPmdwiQgszIuRaE1WCedP-2Bu2KBkv9hbQUF1esr8YNS7XBoC4xDw_wcB#fo_c=951&fo_k=ff3540db706a5dd2ea67b4045a6507df&fo_s=gplauk?mkwid=s_dc&pcrid=51482419619&pkw=&pmt= Will there be a significant speed boost on booting and loading games?

Solution
Yes , you are better off buying a bigger capacity sata 3 SSD instead of costlier M2 SSD. The only benefits are for Faster write times. which is insignificant for gaming.
No , M2 SSDs actually have slower load times by around 1-2% compared to sata SSds in both games and windows boot, although the transfer rate for single contiguous files are faster. So i wont recommend for boot drive and game program files. It is more suited for encoding and storage based work.
