M.2 SSD Compatibility

I own a Z97s Krait Edidion Motherboard from MSI, and I was wondering if the Samsung 950 Pro M.2 SSD will be compatible. Link to the SSD- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147466
I understand that Installing This SSD will only give me 2 Sata ports. I just want to make sure it will be compatible.

If you have a spare Gen 3.0 x4 PCIe slot - look at the Asus Hyper PCIe to M.2 Mini Adapter card.
Got one today for £29.99 and it runs full speed.
Well made gizmo.
Also moves the 100C 950 Pro off the MB. Yep they run that hot.

The only pcie3 slots you have are for the gpu's. If you populate the 2nd slot then you will drop the gpu to x8 mode.
its up to you if the ssd gain is worth the gpu loss of performance (which is very low btw)

Not sure I understand you. You need a free x4 PCIe slot. You put this card in the slot and screw the 950 Pro to it.
The 950 then comunicates to the CPU using the PCIe lanes - like say a Graphics card does.
My understaning is it uses NVMe so wont affect your SATA connections.
Usually one needs to check your MB will support NVMe and has UEFI ver 2.3.1 to use as a bootable drive.

But I have heard that this converter card just lets the PC see it as any onther PCIe card. Whether that is true I am not sure. Speak to you MB tech support.
