I am attempting to install Windows 10 Pro 64-bit onto a custom built machine with the EVGA - Micro 2 Micro ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard and a WD Blue M.2 500GB Internal SSD Solid State Drive.

However, the SSD is not found in the windows setup (Where do you want to install Windows?). For reference, I am using a flash drive to install Windows 10.

I have tried physically removing the SSD and re-installing multiple times.

I have UEFI enabled, and the M.2 socket enabled in the BIOS.

I have used diskpart and list disk to see if the SSD is recognized, and it is not. The SSD is not recognized in the BIOS either.

I have also followed every step in this thread from the EVGA forums to no avail: https://forums.evga.com/X99-M2-Getting-it-to-work-STEP-BY-STEP-m2476830.aspx

Lastly, I have also updated to the latest BIOS via flash drive.

I will be testing the M.2 on another motherboard later today or tomorrow and will be testing my motherboard with a different M.2 tomorrow to see if either device is bad.

In the meantime, is there anything else I might be able to do to resolve the issue?

Thanks.

Common mistake a lot of people are making. There are PCI-e and SATA M2 drives. Your motherboard supports PCI-E interface, the SSD you have (I believe) is SATA. Therefore, not compatible.
