Question M.2 SSD not recognized in new build by Windows 11

My son is building a new PC and is trying to install Windows 11, but no driver is showing up. It is being recognized in BIOS. I am not a very computer competent, this is the second computer he has built, but is only 14. I would appreciate any suggestions.

hello check this out first
That error usually indicates either the USB you are using is corrupt or the PC is not setup correctly for the installation.

Can I presume there is no data on the internal drive you need to keep?

Boot into BIOS, is that set to UEFI mode and is CSM and Secure Boot disabled?

Then start the installation

At the very start of the Installation Process, press Shift + F10, or Shift + Fn + F10 to open Command Prompt

Run this command and hit Enter:

diskpart

Run this command and hit Enter:

list disk
(Make note of the disk number you want to convert and enter it into the next command - replace X)

Run this command and hit Enter:

select disk X

Run this command and hit Enter:

clean

Run this command and hit Enter:

convert gpt

Then close Command Prompt and restart the installtion.
