Newbie question, I have tried googling and searching and all the answers seemed vague so I apologize.
I have my m.2 in the first m.2 slot on my Asus Rog Maximus XI Hero, my HDD paired to the 2nd sata slot and my blue ray paired to my 3rd (or 4th) I can't tell my graphics card is in the way. Is this pairing detrimental to my setup at all?
I only ask this because I remember seeing a post on here about how the first m.2 slot will take up the 5/6 sata slots. Previously my blue ray/dvd drive wouldn't boot when it was plugged into the first SATA slot or was that just a stroke of bad luck.
Again I haven't built a computer since the pentium 4 days so I apologize in advance for any advice.
