Good morning, folks.

I am upgrading my mom's computer and am finding the newly installed Crucial P3 2TB M.2 SSD isn't performing nearly like it should. I'm not sure what the issue is.

Here are the PC specs:

Optiplex 7050
  • Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
  • Intel Core i5 7500 @ 3.40GHz
  • 16 GB DDR4 2400MHZ
  • RX 560
  • BOOT DRIVE: SK Hynix SC311 SATA 256GB
  • STORAGE DRIVE: Crucial CT2000P3SSD8 P3 2TB NVME SSD

I've installed the "Micron NVMe PCIe Device Driver (64 Bit) 2.1.18.0, but it didn't seem to make a difference in performance in CrystalDisk.

Is there something in the BIOS I have to change?

Thanks in advance.

Onboard M.2 slot in Optiplex 7050 is meant for Intel Optane module.
Optane uses PCIE 3.0 x2 connection.
Probably M.2 slot is limited to PCIE 3.0 x2.
That would be ~ 1700MB/s sequential read/write.

Can you run AS SSD benchmark and show results?
