Hello!

I have one Adata SX8000 m.2 SSD NVMe 2280bk PCIe 256GB
and a Asus Prime Z270-P Motherboard
After a few tweaks in BIOS, the SSD is recognised, but not in Windows 7 setup.

The setup keeps referring to the drivers of the cd/dvd-station to continue the install, but I'm wondering if this message has anything to do with the situation.
I tried to put in the motherboard installation cd (out of many of my other desperation attempts), but didn't recognize it.

I tried updating the firmware via Linus_Tool V1.0.0 via USB, which according to the process seemed to work. The firmware was updated, but after a necessary hard-reset, nothing changed (so I doubt it actually worked).

So far after all my research, I think it may either be my BIOS settings, or the drivers.

I would really appreciate any help!

(I can explain my BIOS settings, if necessary, in a later post. It's quite complex)

I was going to do the same thing as Mark RM suggested on my recent Z370 build but found out I could use my Win7 key in a USB Win10 upgrade install without having to install Win7 first.

If you are trying to do the same thing just go straight to Win10.

Yep, if you're not actually going to usee the Windows 7 , you can use the key to activate a Windows 10 install later. Just pick I don't have a key during installation and then use your win 7 key in the windows 10 activation box once it's loaded.
