I bought a Lenovo Legion Y540 a few months ago. First thing I did when I got it was install an Addlink S70 1TB M.2 SSD, this one. When I first installed it, I struggled for awhile to get the computer to see the drive. It wouldn't boot at first. I think I eventually changed the boot mode to "legacy support" and then the drive booted and I installed Windows. No problems since then until today, when I updated the BIOS. The reboot after the flash failed and neither of my drives were listed in the boot order. Found boot mode had been changed back to UEFI and so I switched back to legacy support and it works. I'm just confused because I thought I should be using UEFI. Neither my HDD nor SSD show up with UEFI selected. What's going on? Am I good to just keep using legacy support and continue to change the setting after BIOS updates?
