[SOLVED] M.2 SSD without a M.2 slot?

So basically, I recently bought a M.2 970 EVO SSD on black friday, only then to realise that my Gigabyte 970A-DS3P motherboard doesn't have an M.2 slot to install it in (stupid mistake i know). I want to know if there's anyway to install my SSD without the slot, or if its basically useless.

You could get a PCIe adapter for your M.2 and hook it up in the PCIe slot, but I still dont think it will work as that board does not support NMVe. But it may be worth a try. You could always return it and get a 860 EVO SATA SSD and it will work fine.

You could use a pci-e to m.2 adapter but all you will end up with is some fast storage as you won't be able to use it as a boot drive.
