I have an M.2 SSD with an M (not B+M) key which I need to adapt to a SATA drive connector. All of the adapters I have been able to locate support M.2 modules with B or B+M keys, not just M keys. You cannot plug an M keyed M.2 modules into a B+M keyed socket because there is a physical stop in the B position. Can anyone recommend this type of adapter?

Thanks.

I have yet to see a M.2 M-Key to SATA adapter. The only adapter I know of is a PCIe 4x to M.2 M-Key.

Otherwise the motherboard will need to support it via an on-board M.2 M-Key connection.

SATA3 is not fast enough to support the M.2 M-Key. It will only run 1/2 of the speed it is designed for.
