m.2 support on ASUS Maximus VII Formula mobo

i was planning on buying the Samsung 950 Pro 256GB M.2 SSD but there isnt enough room on the ASUS Maximus VII Formula mobos m.2 port. Is there any way to get around it. (the M.2 SSD is 80mm long and mobo only fits 60mm)

Not really. The size support is what it is, you can't force it to support longer M.2 cards.

You could, however, buy an M.2 to PCI3 adapter, which is essentially the same thing, and used that:

Just so you know unless your doing a lot of file transfers or using it as a scratch drive a M.2 SSD is a very bad buy.
You can get a regular 850 EVO for 1/2 the price per GB and never see any real world difference
