Hello all ,

I have folowing h/w
  • Ryzen 1600AF
  • ASUS TUF B450M-PRO GAMING (2xM.2 , 1 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 (x16 mode) , 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (max at x4 mode), 1 x PCIe 2.0 x1 )
  • Crucial 16GB KIT DDR4 3000MHz CL15 Ballistix
  • SSD ADATA XPG SX6000 Pro SSD 256GB M.2 (PCIe 3.0 4x NVMe)
  • temporarly old GPU AMD Radeon HD 5450
  • NO other SATA are connected
  • Wifi card is in PCIe 2.0 x1

I am having following problem :

When I put SSD in M.2_1, GPU in PCIe1 PC do not boot - just blank screen
When I put SSD in M.2_2, GPU in PCIe1 no problems - all working as it should
When I put SSD in M.2_1, GPU in PCIe2 no problems - all working as it should

I am wondering if this is normal behavior and Ryzen 1600 can not have this config ( some PCIe lines limitation ) or I do have some h/w malfunction?
Any advice appreciate, thank you.

Solution
Found it - apparently problem is with GPU.

GPU with PCIe 2.0 is causing this problem, I did perform this test on 3 different GPU all with PCIe 2.0.
With PCIe 3.0 - no problem ...

I Do not get it but, I am happy that parts are not damaged.
Anyway thank you for help.
