Question M.2_2 Not working

I have 2 Samsung 970 evo’s, 1 is 500gb while the other is 1tb. my first 500gb ssd is in my m.2_1 and has worked fine for months and months, and i recently got my new 1tb ssd and it won’t show up in my m.2_2 in bios or disk management. after swapping the ssd’s i’ve found that neither one will work in my m.2_2 port. I have an msi b450 gaming pro carbon ac and i’m wondering if anyone has any advice. Cheers!

could be a bios settings.

My question is, if it was a bios setting, wouldn’t it register the m.2 drive in use? as it stands now it doesn’t recognize anything in the m.2_2 port, so i’m not sure which setting it would be. And if the PCI_E2-5 slots are disabled, if i had a gpu in PCI_2 would that cause the m.2_2 to disable? Sorry for the questions i’m not a hardware expert
