M-ATX and ATX

Might seem like a stupid question but do M-ATX perform just as good as ATX but with less features.

Same performance but less connections/ports (and of course, the size).

A good m-ATX motherboard will have pretty much the same features as a good no-frills ATX motherboard, the main difference being three fewer expansion slots.

Okay, just realised that my case only take a m-atx but been looking at boards which can have uptown 64GB ram and i only need one pci slot for my gpu.

What components do you plan to house? Do you plan on going SLI or Crossfire? Generally the smaller the case, the more dense your internal components are, which will increase the need to improved case ventilation.

either upgrading to risen or intel and 1 GPU.It's a Corsair air 240.

That's a great case for air flow.

They generally perform the same, and may have equal features such as high end sound and overclock capabilities.

If you are into ln2 cooling and record overclocking, perhaps not.

You can even get a M-ATX case that supports sli.
Asus maximus VIII gene, for example.
