[SOLVED] m/b and pci network ports hang intermittently. Using W7 ultimate.

Intermittent software?? m/b gigabit ethernet port hangs intermittently. Disable/(re)Enable network card in adaptor settings restores it 100%. Added a PCI network card which does the same thing!! I do not know where to look next.

Are you on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard? What is the age of your PSU? Have you ruled out faulty Ethernet cables?

where you get your windows Ultimate ? was it a cdrom or download ? I am asking because like Windows Enterprise very, very, few people actually bought windows ultimate.

well if you had motherboard nic card issues then added a nic card and you get the same problem, I would consider changing the cable from nic card to network card. then I would try to connect the pc to a different port on the router/switch to see if it continues, It may not be the computer at all
