M/B Recomendation

Hello,
I fondly recall the decade I spent selling components across the county at computer shows, running a mom & pop computer shop during the week and being a power user. Times, interests , and goals change. I have a couple old chips (athlon 1200 socket a's) a ton of misc parts and an itch to build a couple of computers. I would like to avoid: 1) spending the next month sifting through tech forums to discover why the latest and greatest component (A) doesnt work with latest and greatest component (B). 2) spending more than a day obtaining all the correct driver /bios revisions to make everything work properly. I would like to achieve: 1) A computer with decent frame rates. 2) Don't want to overspend but willing to splurge on the vid card. 3) raid is a must, prefer scsi, ide ok, have drives for either 4) As stable computer as I can get with Mickeysoft XP.

I would greatly appreciate some recomendations for a mainboard and/or chipset, memory, and vid card and/or chipset for a socket a athlon 1200 - 2400. To all who reply thanks in advance for taking the time to stay current with technology and share your expertise.

Dont get cheap cheap mem.. Corsair Value system PC3200 is good for this board !!

Nforce2 boards are a bit picky about memory.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. The board spec list matches my needs perfectly, more than fair price range, and there appears to be plenty of positive feedback on the board. I like Abit as well having owned their KT7 series among other boards. I am putting my order in now. I will search for the Corsair memory, not a product I am familiar with. Just out of curiosity whose chips are they using?
