[SOLVED] M+KB powers on but then stops working at system startup

This just started occuring today. When I start the computer I see my mouse lights on but when I get to the log in screen the light goes out and they don't respond. They work in the bios menu though.
I have tried to put them out and back in, both when the computer is on and off. But I just can't get them to work. What can I do?

It works now. I turned the computer on with the kb and mouse plugged in. Then I switched the power button to the computer(to the power supply), started the computer again and now they work.
