I figured out that the 2nd M2 slot wasn't compatible, so I bought https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07F1J7S3F?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_asin_title

I got them both today, plugged the drive into the card and installed it. however, my PC isn't recognizing that it has a new hard drive. Am I missing a driver or setting? The PC is running Windows 10.

TIA

Solution
The Crucial P1 is NVMe, not SATA III.
That adapter card you ordered goes in a PCIe slot. And only a "PCIe 3.0 motherboard " slot.
