I currently have a 250Gb Samsung 970 EVO M2 NVMe as a boot disc and also holds programs. I want to replace it withn a 500Gb version of same model. Will the cloning of a boot disc be safe with Samsung's clonimg Magician?
If it is, and the 500Gb works fine as the new boot disc, can I then, at a later stage, insert the old 250Gb SSD (which will have the original programs and windows still on it) into another M2 slot on the MB and applySamsung's Secure Erase, so that I can use it for file storage?

Solution
  1. Yes.
  2. Yes.
Just be sure, at the end of the clone process, the first thing you do is to Power OFF, disconnect the old drive, and allow the system to boot up from only the new drive.
