M2 Samsung ssd on Acer e5

I wanted to upgrade my Acer 575g-5341 with a Samsung m2 ssd. It comes with a lite on ssd and when I swapped it out my laptop won't even pick up the Samsung ssd. What do I have to do to get the ssd to work?

I believe that laptop only takes Sata m.2 ssd's.
