I recently bought an M2 SSD and wall went well with installation. Then a few months ago I started up my PC and the drive wasn't there, after some trouble shooting I found that my BIOS setting that allows the M2 SSD to be detected was changed somehow. I ignored this thinking it was a one-off occurrence but just now the same thing happened. Any reason as to why this is happening? Also I can't recall the first time it happened clearly but this time the computer shutdown was due to a power outage if this helps.

change cmos battery?
It's funny you mention that, my pc also wouldn't start a while back and sadly I tried multiple possible fixes at once so I didn't nail that exact cause, but resetting the cmos was one...

I'll buy some batteries when I'm out next, would you happen to know what a 'low' cmos battery would cause in terms of issues? Apart from not allowing the motherboard to start up completely...
