I own this laptop https://www.amazon.com/Acer-E5-575-33BM-15-6-Inch-Notebook-Generation/dp/B01K1IO3QW/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

And I am looking to replace it's slow 5400 RPM HD for an OS SSD. It has an M2 slot for the upgrade but I am slightly confused about which SSD is compatible.

I was originally looking at this https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820236156 but after reading some of the forum posts it appears NVMe style drives are unsupported? Other forum posts were saying they might work at lower speeds, still being better than a SATA III? Do I specifically need a SATA III SSD? In that case would this work? https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2F858H2183 (also what does 3D NAND, TLC mean? Is that another possibly incompatible SSD?)

Both SSDs are M2 2280 but I am just confused with some of the terminology.
ACER forum posts for reference:

It is listed as a product feature on the Amazon page and Acer official has responded to questions saying it features an M2 SATA slot. I have opened the back of the laptop and it has an M2 slot with it's standoff and screw installed.

My question is just about the NVMe vs SATA difference as they appear to have the same exact port(M2 2280) but differing data interfaces as I understand it.

Most people are saying it supports SATA only but others say NVMe works so I would prefer the NVMe if it get's better speed than the SATA.
