Hello :)

I recently purchased an Adata SX8200 Pro 1TB from amazon and as luck would have it I noticed an article a day after arrival that states they have changed the controller on newer stock.
My sdd is of course the newer controller which is slower and I was wondering whether I should keep it or return it for another ssd?
Are there any other options around the £130 mark that would perform better than this new controller? I had looked at a PNY option or the WD Black SN750 but am unsure of what to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am very new to the M2 market.

Thanks!

In truth, you'd be hard pressed to actually tell the difference, outside of benchmark tools.
But I certainly wouldn't be happy. And sending it back for a refund sends ADATA a big message.

I know. It's more the frustration of it really. I now don't see the value in it when I am getting less performance for my money, whether I notice it or not.
Would you personally return it if you were in my situation and what would you buy as an alternative?
I have just noticed the Sabrent 1tb & Gigabyte Aorus Gen 4 SSD for a little over what I wanted to spend at £169 & £140.

Would you recommend them or stick to Gen3?

Thanks
