Hey all, looking to do some cheap upgrades to my system. Looking at a few used Phenom X4's, the X4 9850BE (HD985ZXAJ4BGH) and the X4 9950BE(HD995ZXAJ4BGH). Now both of these arent on the supported CPU list for my board (M2N68-AM SE2 - http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-ASUS/M2N68-AM_SE2.html) and they're 125w which is why I thought they wouldn't be supported however on that list is the Phenom II X6 1075T which is a 125w CPU. Would the two aforementioned CPU's work with the board?

I currently have a Phenom X4 9650 so the 9850BE/9950BE arent too much of an upgrade but I just got 8GB of DDR2 and a Sapphire 6850 for cheap to replace 4GB/9600GT and have some money left over so I thought a little CPU boost would be a nice idea with those two being the best ones I've found (unless anyone has any suggestions on used AM2/AM2+ CPU's for £30) - cheers!

Update: After doing some more digging I found the Athlon II X4 630 (ADX630WFK42GI) which IS A chip with equal performance to the 9850BE (according to Passmark anyway) and is also 95W and on the supported CPU list so I'll probably go with that unless anyone has any better ideas?

I don`t think the socket on a Asus M2N can take a cpu with a maximum of 95 w total.

A 955 x 4 II needs a board that can provide a maximum wattage from the cpu socket of 125w Zotexa.

Even the T AMD cpu series would not work with the board with 6 cpu cores i`m afraid as it stands.

Bit of a shame.
Anyway the max wattage of the M2N board is 95w max for cpus.
