title says it.

tried clearing cmos.

i get the gfx card info screen then it freezes at the initializing usb..., cant enter bios or see post.

did a power calc and i need 450watts and have a 750watt psu (all independent lines to the 660).

i found this tread on asus forums that says it wont work in a blue slot.
http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&id=20120824073513844&board_id=1&model=Crosshair%20II%20Formula&page=1&count=11

im not sure what the color of the slot has to do with anything (ive goggled and didn't come up with much/nothing on wiki).
as i understood from before purchasing it is backwards compatible, so even if the slot is switched to 1.0 (i cant find any options in the bios to switch it to 2.0) it should still work.

so im at a loss, any help would be appreciated.

been talking with asus and they have been telling me things like "install all motherboard drivers" "install the driver for the card" and my favorite "the pcie 3.0 vga card is not backwards comparable with pcie 2.0".

nvidia had me try a earlier bios (one that said it had a fix for this exact problem) but it didn't work.

i also tried unplugging everything but the mobo, 1 stick of memory (tried 2 different sticks encase one was going), 1055t and the 660 ti...that didn't work either.

i did some more googling and found someone who did get the 660 ti to work with a M3A78-EM.
"I decided to try the new 660 Ti video card in an older Asus M3A78-EM motherboard and it booted up on that computer just fine."

so im still at a loss to what it could be.
