[SOLVED] M4 SSD not recognised when mounted on adapter ?

Hello,

I needed to access the contents of an M4 SSD so I bought an adapter.
The drive fits right in but when I connect the adapter to my PC nothing shows.
The adapter is recognized in device manager but it looks like if there is no M4 drive on it.
I attach a picture of the M4 drive mounted on the adapter. There are some remarks and warnings written on the adapter but I couldn't determine if they were relevant to my M4 SSD drive or not.

I think the adapter is faulty. on the J3 connector could be a solder shortcut from one pin to the other

did you connect sata power cable and the sata data cable to the adapter?

Well I am using a external SATA station. So they both connect at the same time when I insert the adapter.

Nope. My mSATA SSD is dead. I tried the adapter with an M.2 SSD and it worked. Thanks
