Here goes. I have an M4A79XTD EVO Motherboard with an AMD Phenom II X3 720 2.80Ghz processor. I built this computer with CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 8-8-8-24 and have had no issues to date. Now i recently bought new ram to fill in my extra to slots on the motherboard. The ram i installed is exactly the same with the exception that its 9-9-9-24. I boot up and start windows. I begin todo what i usually do (play games, you tube, etc) and i recieve a blue screen of death regarding memory issues (this never happened until i installed the new ram) and my pc restarts.. I've read numerous posts and found no solutions except for updateing BIOS. I have BIOS v 0501 which is initial release and don't know if i should update it? Kinda a noob when it comes to that stuff. If anyone can help me, please reply. Thank you.

There are more timings than just CL, tRCD, tRP, and tRAS to set. There are other timings to consider as well. Also.. Are both pairs 1.5V memory? Or is one pair 2.1V? If so, Does your board accept 2.1V RAM? The voltage has to be the same for all sticks. Run CPU-Z and see what it reports for voltage and timings for each pair. When you were in BIOS, did you make sure that the board was set to not use the RAM's SPD?

I would just get a matching pair of sticks to which ever you want to keep and RMA or ebay the other pair.
