Hello, i have phenom ii x6 1055t cpu, M5A97 motherboard and G-Skill RipjawX 1600mhz 2x8gb RAM. My question is, when i set my rams as "Unganged", most of the time bios doesn't recognize my rams as 16gb total, instead, it only shows just 8gb. What's more, BIOS-Motherboard knows and shows there are two installed ram modules, they are visible as 8gb and 8gb, but in the total it's just 8gb. When i set "ganged", no issues. I never had any problem with 2x4gb ram setups and i could just set "unganged" mode.

Sometimes it shows total 16gb even with "unganged". I restarted 2 times and once shut down, still showed 16gb but when i shut down the computer for 15-20 minutes, it doesn't see all of my RAM ! My issue is with "unganged" mode because never having the same problem with "ganged", i read that unganged gives better performance so i want to use unganged.
What's more strange, sometimes (unganged mode again) bios shows total 16gb, but Windows 10 sees only 8gb total, and 7.96 reserved to hardware. I want to know what causes the issue, RAMs and RAM slots are okay.

Another question is, when i add another ram (total 3 sticks of ram), there's no issues in unganged mode and it still works as Dual Channel ! My motherboard is single and dual channel only as i know but installing 3 sticks of RAM becomes Dual Channel...

Can someone explain the logic behind this ? Thank you.

(p.s. when it only shows 8gb, i change speed 1333 to 1600mhz or 1600 to 1333 and this fix it temporarily)

So setting default via BIOS is different than clearing the CMOS ? I've never cleared CMOS before but tried default settings a lot of times. I don't know why but "unganged" mode is just making some kind of memory recognition issue.

Cleared the CMOS and still having the same issue. Restarting the PC fixes, but another restart and it's again 8gb. No bluescreens or whatsover during gaming, Prime95 stress test etc. Just when i turn off or restart the computer, my memory drops to 8gb because of the unganged option. Why is that, what could be the problem ? My ram speed is currently 1333mhz, 1600mhz makes no difference for the issue though.
