I just added 2 Corsair SP120 PWM fans to my system which uses this motherboard (listed in subject) and none of the programs I have used (SpeedFan, Fan Xpert) can see the speeds of any of these 4-pin fans connected to the headers except for the CPU fan. Is there a way to see the speeds of these fans? I thought that was the entire purpose of having 4-pin headers and PWM fans in the first place.

Only two fan headers, the CPU and CPU optional, are PWN controlled.

All other headers will offer DC control. So if you plug a 4 pin fan into them they will be controlled in DC mode, rather than PWM. Asus Fan Xpert software offers monitoring and some selectable fan settings.

I am having the same issues with the same MB and fans, the MB does not detect the fans in CHA_1 and 2 but they do work and give some crazy RPM readings?

What would be the issue here?

You need to put yellow wire in to motherboard three pin header, to have readings from pwm fans
