I have a Lenovo M90p which I would like to upgrade to be able to do some medium gaming on it. More specifically, I would like to be able to play fortnite on at least medium settings at 60fps. I'm not sure which model it is, but I know it has an i5-660 with an AMD Radeon HD 5450, and it has the tower form factor.
I'm on a really tight budget($150-200), so I am wondering what I can do to improve performance the most with the money. I have been considering the following two options:
1: Get a low-end discrete graphics card. My concern with this is that graphics cards are expensive nowadays, and I read that if I get anything more powerful than a GTX 750 ti, my CPU will be bottlenecking it, so I won't get the performance I need.
2: Get an AMD Ryzen 2200G with a suitable motherboard, and replace the stock one. I haven't ever built a computer, so I'm not sure this is even possible. Then I'd wait until the crypto bubble bursts, and buy my discrete gpu then.
