[SOLVED] Mac freezes @ startup

i put a windows 2000 in the cd rom and used boot camp but when it started up the computer freezes at the following:

SETUP IS INSPECTING YOUR COMPUTERS HARDWARE CONFIGURATION...

tried rebooting multiple times and the cd has no scratches nor smudges. please help

Current Apples only support Windows 7 as a second OS.
