I am trying to access Recovery Mode on my Mac Mini so that I can restore it to factory settings. Online I have read that you need to access recovery mode by holding Command+R (WIndows+R on windows keyboard) while booting up the computer. However, everytime I do this it just boots normally and takes me to the login page. I have tried this a few times but never works. The Mac Mini has all software updates and I am using a Ripjaws KM780 Mechanical Keyboard. If anybody could help me out with this problem that would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

The first thing that people need to know is the exact model. When was it made? Recovery Mode only works for Macs newer than a certain age.

It sounds as if you can actually access your Mac (you get to the logon page). If so, there are other options. If you can't log on because you don't know the password there may be other options, but we couldn't discuss that scenario here.
