Mac or PC for gaming?

Sorry, trying to settle an argument with my idiot friend. Is a Mac worth the $1400 or should they be thrown into a flaming pit of death and despair?

PC for gaming, Mac have to use Java so most games never work on it. Hence you see seperate Mac installers.

PC is for gaming. Macs are for people who want to pay a premium to be different. If you buy a Mac to game on, you're going to have a bad time.

macs are not for gaming, and the few games that are released for macs run about 10-25% slower. but mac computers have perks for users that have no computer knowledge whatsoever, like taking the entire unit to the apple store and the genius bar helping you free of charge. also mac has programs that are designed very well for ease of use. its comparing apples to oranges though.
