Hello. I need to completely reinstall Big Sur to Catalina somehow because of how buggy it is with printing and all the other issues. I downloaded something called Catalina patcher, made a bootable usb installer with the program and my other Mac El Capitan boots totally fine with it and able to start installing it. When it comes to my Big Sur it detects the usb drive, starts booting from it and just before the install screen comes up it reboots. After this the computer is stuck in a loop doing this same thing over and over again. Any ideas?

Catalina Patcher is only for old Macs which don't natively support Catalina. If your Mac is supported. You should not try to use the patcher.

Get Catalina from Apple and follow their instruction to build a USB installer.

As far as Big Sur issues. Did you try a clean install? If you've just been upgrading year after year. Your computer could be due for a clean install. Restoring only user data from a backup and clean installing all software and drivers.

For your printer. Did you try resetting the printing system and installing the latest drivers?

I didn't know about that it's only for older Mac, but thanks for letting me know then.

It's a brand new Mac with Catalina but i updated it to Big Sur thinking it's gonna be better. Tried everything with the printer and it prints but half page is blank, missing things etc.

I'm gonna try the solution you told me, downloading it from Apple store right now. My only question is which line do i copy into the terminal? If i use Big Sur and want to install Catalina do i still copy the Catalina line into my Terminal?
