The new Mac Pro is pretty incredible. I maxed it out (12-core CPU, 64GB) just for fun at the site and it was $9600. Neat.

I'm actually not poking fun as it's a brilliant piece of hardware that's massively powerful and silent; if you need the best there's nothing better. The $3000 cheapest version is actually very reasonably priced for what you get.
