Hello guys, I have MacBook Air M1 8gb/256gb for 3 years and now there is interesting offer in one of the local apple dealers. I can trade my MacBook for 13" MacBook Air M2 8gb/256 + ~500$ or I can trade it for 15" MacBook Air M2 16gb/256gb for ~1000$. I am using my laptop for content writing, SEO, media consumption. Are those upgrade worth it in performance difference and future prove or it's just waste of money

As far as I know, SEO programming (etc) doesn't take much system resources, nor does anything else you list.

The M2/8GB would be <20% "faster" if pushing the system to it's limited - something you don't sound like you'd do.
The M2/16GB is probably better in the long term..... but I can't see it being worth $1,000 to many people, let alone the use cases you document.

Realistically, M3 Air's have to be around the corner - so they're essentially trying to move old stock before they officially become such.... without really offering much $incentive in doing so.

*IF* You want to upgrade to an M2.... I'd suggest waiting until M3 Air's are on shelves. That would really just be for bragging rights though - in your use cases, I can't imagine you'd notice much differences.
